the+名词或形容词表示一类人，后面的谓语动词用复数。

2.、看作单数的情况：“the + 形容词”如果表示抽象名词，这是单数的。

他太小，不辨是非。
单复数取决于其含义，比如：the beautiful 表示“美”就是单数的，表示“美女”就是复数的。the good 表示“好人”是复数，表示“善”就是单数的。

比如：the sick---病人，我们不说“the ill（×）”
