你看since the mid-1980's 就是说打从上事迹80年代中期，大量的亚洲移民就已经定居到了新西兰。

since +过去的时间 +have done sth 不要纠结固定用法

they 作为主语+make up 表主动关系如果是 made uo of 前面必须加 be 动词
