believe in是个短语，意思是信赖、信仰。也就是说in是前面的，而不能跟后面结合在一起。之所以要用what而不是that是因为横线部分的引导词还作后面动词do的宾语。
which和what引导句子的区别在于which单用的时候，常可跟that替换，本身无实意，用于关系从句句首，具体说明所谈论的事物或提供关于它的更多信息。如：
Soldiers opened fire on a car which failed to
stop at an army checkpoint...

士兵向那辆拒绝在军事检查站停车检查的汽车开了火。
what作连词，尤用于动词和形容词后以引导关系从句。
Do you know what those idiots have done?... 你知道那些傻瓜做了些什么吗？
