从08届的新一轮的换届，对于HME来说是非常不容易的事，可以说是一次转折。新上任的领导军在短短一个月的时间里，通过院团委和学社联的帮助下理清了各项工作线索，有条不紊地计划和开展工作，使HME逐渐脱离原来的死沉氛围。
他们积极筹办和举办各项活动，与周边各大高校加强了交流，使得协会提升了一个档次，对扩大协会的影响做出了巨大贡献。
这些所有功劳的取得都与协会内部是紧密相连的。
协会内部的各部长平时工作积极，认真，扶负责，在协会最困难的时期，他们几乎每个人都将自己最多的时间花在协会上，为协会的发展与前进出谋划策，举办活动时，他们又能以最高的热情投入，同学们的每一次赞赏，就是对他们最好的肯定。
