SPSS聚类分析中The Statistics Processor is terminating due to a catastrophic error。请问是什么原因

Problem(Abstract)
Using syntax, I attempt to run a Survival Table procedure within PASW Statistics. The code looks the same as it has for other variables, but when I then run it, I see an error message:

The PASW Statistics Processor is terminating due to a catastrophic error. Any working data file is lost. A program error has occurred: A procedure has OBPEND either after the occurrence of a fatal error or without previously calling both OBINIT and OBPINI. Please note the circumstances under which this error occurred, attempting to replicate if possible, and then notify Technical Support. Restart the processor?

YES and NO options are provided and selecting Yes will restart the processor, but I'm not sure why this syntax is causing this problem.
Resolving the problem
This problem has been reported to SPSS Development and we apologize for the inconvenience. The problem has been traced to an attempt to use a string variable for Status. You will need to recode this value to a numeric or use another variable in its place.
