英语单选错题不明白

第一题如果纯指中国，就是China.这里是指“一个。。。。的中国”，前面有修饰语时，前面可加不定冠词，如：Let's do all we can to creat a beautiful earth.让我们做我们能做的一切，来创造一个美丽的地球。
第二题是强调结构：it was ...that made his wife so upset this morning.这句是针对主语进行强调。然后针对被强调的主语来提问，就变成了：
what was it that made his wife so upset this morning?
然后再把这个特殊疑问句放在你原句中，作宾语从句，使用陈述句的自然语序，就成了： Mr Green doesn’t understand what it was that made his wife so upset this morning
第三句，你的理解没错，但是强调结构不在这里，是后一句，已经省略了，注意你这句是有语言情境的。第一空用THAT没错，指较远的事情，
---It was in 2007 _____ he was riding a bike on the drive-road 后面还有一句承前省略，就是：that he was nearly killed by a car once.强调结构对时间状语进行强调，然后在时间后跟了一个定语从句修饰2007。
句意为：他曾经差点被小车撞了
到底是什么时候的事？
就是在2007年他在马路上骑车的时候（他曾经差点被小车撞了）。

第一个是解释说明后面的内容 独立成立
第二个直接排除法 A D语序就不对 B的疑问词不成立 句子意思是 什么导致他如此沮丧
后面when 是 当。。。时候

答案是对的，第一题，stronger and powerful China跟现在的中国是不一样的，未来才能达到的状态，所以不能用the。如果中国是已经达到了这个状态（stronger and powerful ），再回顾的时候可以用the。
第二题，don't understand what it is 是固定用法，参见I don't know who you are,同一个用法，学英语可以融会贯通，记住这一个词组，类似的都能应付。
第三题，问句强调“when exactly”，回答要强调具体细节，如果that的话突出的是2007年； when he was riding a bike 强调的是07年他“骑自行车的时候”，更具体。
