Monica: (trying desperately to change the subject) So, Ross, what✀s going on with you? Any stories? (Digs her elbow into his hand.) No news, no little anecdotes to share with the folks? Ross: (pulls his hand away) Okay! Okay. (To his parents) Look, I, uh- I realise you guys have been wondering what exactly happened between Carol and me, and, so, well, here✀s the deal. Carol✀s a lesbian. She✀s living with a woman named Susan. She✀s pregnant with my child, and she and Susan are going to raise the baby. (Stunned silence ensues.) 其实还是因为Ross和Monica的老妈不喜欢Monica.
之前monica 本来是想借Ross离婚的事儿把母亲的注意力从她身上转到Ross身上让她稍微好过一点（因为她妈总是挑Monica的毛病）结果没想到Ross说了自己和同性恋老婆离婚后老妈依旧没有放过Monica 老妈的意思是这么严重的问题你知道却不告诉我等于还是在责怪monica 所以Monica的努力等于白费了所以大家在笑~

老婆Carol是个同性恋【本来女人应该是异性恋的】
Carol和Susan公开住在一起了【本来应该是和Ross住在一起的】
而且Carol还怀上了Ross的孩子【本来按现状就不应该要孩子了】
Carol还打算和Susan一起把孩子抚养大【设想一个孩子的家庭里有俩妈妈~天呐】

然后Ross的妈妈说了一句And you knew about this?!

意思是

你还很清楚的知道这件事【本来你最好应该不知道这些事情的~，更递进的一个表达：表示最不幸的是Ross对情况了如指掌】
